We know you love Penn State football - but a weekend in Happy Valley should be about more than just game day! From beautiful parks, to family-friendly entertainment, to wineries throughout the area, State College is waiting with plenty of activities for you to discover on your next trip.

Here are just a few of our favorite things to add to your itinerary...

Penn State All-Sports Museum

If you're coming into town for a Penn State football game, take your experience to the next level with a trip to PSU's one-of-a-kind museum, celebrating Nittany Lion sports throughout the school's history.

Featuring designated sections for every sport, from football to basketball to fencing to wrestling and more, this beautiful facility is a great way for the whole family to get closer to Penn State athletics on game day weekend.

Penn's Cave and Wildlife Park

We talked about Penn's Cave in our rundown of Penn State game day activities a few weeks ago... but this site so cool that we just needed to talk about it again.

Take the 45-50 minute tour through the stalactites and stalagmites of this historic and beautiful cave, or travel "off road" with the "Cave Rock Mountain Tour" - exploring the gorgeous vistas and scenic spots of the surrounding area.

Outside of these tours, you can also get lost in Miner's Maze, grab food in Cave Café, or simply enjoy the scenery at this fantastic State College attraction.

Central PA Tasting Trail

Explore central Pennsylvania's growing community of craft distillers, wine makers, and beer brewers with a ready-made list of destinations!

Purchase a passport and begin your journey by visiting any one of these amazing local members...

Get your passport stamped to receive a gift in the shop, and if you're able to visit every location in one year you'll get a free sweatshirt (as the website says, "They must be earned").

The Sky's the Limit Balloon Company

The Tasting Trail may offer you the chance to travel through central Pennsylvania... but how would you like to go above it?

Offering 3-4 hour trips covering 2-15 miles (depending on wind speed and direction, of course), this trip around the State College area is a unique and exhilarating adventure atop the gorgeous meadows and countryside of the area.

Tickets can be a tad expensive and your trip is subject to specific weather conditions, but once you're in the air... it'll all be worth it.

Tussey Mountain

Looking for a place with year-round family fun? Look no further than Tussey Mountain, Boalsburg, PA's all-encompassing entertainment park.

Featuring 50 acres of ski and snowboarding mountains in the winter months, along with go-karts, golf, a skate park, batting cages, and summer festivals when the snow melts... this complex is sure to have something for your group to enjoy - but hurry!

Sunday, September 28 is the LAST day for warm weather Fun Centre activities in 2018...
